Chido Chigwedere

Chido is an MBA Student at the University of Oxford and Director of Outreach at the Oxford Africa Business Alliance. Prior to the MBA, she worked as an Impact Strategist, helping businesses, governments, and global non-profits create more sustainable, relevant, and humane service delivery models. Starting as a Consultant at Advisory K, she worked to develop innovative solutions to the unique challenges Zimbabwe’s context presented. She crafted a turnaround strategy for the Zimbabwe Public Service Commission and the National Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company; and contributed to business dialogues on Zimbabwe’s participation in the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
She later joined the Clinton Health Access Initiative supporting the development of strategies, policies, and systems aimed at curbing the spread of HIV and tuberculosis in Zimbabwe; and served as an advisor to the National COVID-19 Response arm. She has collaborated, managed relationships, and negotiated with a wide range of stakeholders including the United Nations Development Programme, the World Health Organization, and Johns Hopkins University.
Her breadth of experience and her passion for advancing development in Africa have seen her carry out transformational work in 8 Southern African countries; and advocate for development funding worth over US$250million.
Chido holds an undergraduate degree in Economics. She is an alumnus of Kalamazoo College and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a Saïd Business School Foundation Scholar, and a member of Rotary International.
