Emma Openshaw

Director of Communications, Oxford Africa Business Alliance | Oxford MBA Student, Saïd Business School

Emma is a city-slicker turned wildlife novice whose time in the entertainment industry has spanned from producing and facilitating South African and international fictional feature films, documentaries and television specials to, most recently, directing a live, wildlife show with WildEarth. Emma studied Film Production & Television at the University of Cape Town and has been based in and around Southern Africa for most of her life.

Emma is currently in the Oxford Saïd MBA programme. She is looking towards ensuring that a commercial space celebrating representation and inclusivity for content creators to share their stories exists. Emma believes that content, of any kind, connects people, opening up dialogue and creating space for the sharing of knowledge and ideas. It is one of many mediums of communication that she has worked to tap into, opening up engagement in and interaction with the fifty-four countries of the African continent.
