Jimi Adesanya (@j_adesanya) is an investment banker, film producer and entrepreneur. He is an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs and also the Co-Founder and Executive Producer of JM Films (@jm_filmstv) & Unbound Studios (@unbound_studios), production companies responsible for music videos, commercials, documentaries and film. Their diverse client roster and partners include Sony RCA, Disney, Universal Group, Ridley Scott Group, Pepsi, Coca-Cola Companies, Parkwood, as well as global stars such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Stormzy, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tyla and more.
With JM Films, Jimi worked as a producer on Beyonce’s ‘Black Is King’ the movie, which won a Grammy for Best Music Video “Brown Skin Girl”. In 2023, he also worked as Executive Producer for Marvel Studios on Black Panther’s music documentary ‘Voices Rising - The Music of Wakanda Forever’. Overall, JM Films’ produced content has amassed billions of views till date and continues to employ talented youth through its various projects.
In January 2024, Unbound Studios announced its first feature film ‘Water & Garri’, which Jimi both produced and served as Executive Producer, was acquired by Amazon Prime Video for Global Release. The drama shot in Cape Coast, Ghana, was directed by Grammy-award winning director, Meji Alabi and starring Afrobeats multi-award winning superstar, Tiwa Savage.
Jimi launched a ‘Goals For Young’ initiative in 2020 aimed at young, black talented students between 18-22yrs old who seek to pursue successful career paths in finance, media and entrepreneurship. They awarded their first scholarship grant in 2022. He holds a Masters Chemical Engineering degree from Imperial College, London.
