Sanjida Karim
Co-Director, Oxford Africa Business Forum, Oxford Africa Business Alliance
Sanjida is currently an MBA student at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. As a student she is the Co-Director of the Oxford Africa Business Forum at the Oxford Africa Business Alliance and Co-Chair of the Social Impact Oxford Business Network.
Prior to her MBA, Sanjida worked as an international development professional supporting cross-functional teams in Africa, Asia and the Americas. She previously worked as the Director of Programmes for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in South Africa and as the Head of Business Development for Social Enterprises in Health at BRAC. Through her support she has advised governments and partners on the implementation of policies and strategies that increased access to and demand for quality services and systems.
Sanjida’s learnings have given her a unique perspective and hands-on leadership experience solving real-life complex issues in order to drive impact and create change. As part of Oxford’s Africa Alliance, she is looking forward to bringing African innovation, creativity, successes, challenges and experiences to the forefront of every discussion with the aim to learn, exchange ideas and formulate innovation in Africa and build a better and more globally connected community.
Sanjida also holds a B.S. in Molecular Cellular Biology and Healthcare Economics and Development from the University of Connecticut.
